We kindly invite you to participate in the two-day international conference Niklas Luhmann's Sociology of Politics and Law, which is organized at the KU Leuven (Belgium), May 17-18, 2018.
The event commemorates Luhmann's decease 20 years ago in 1998. It highlights both theoretical and empirical work that has been influenced by Luhmann's approach and critically reflects on what social systems theory can mean for today’s pressing political and legal challenges.
The conference consists of seven invited papers by prominent international scholars in the fields of legal and political studies. They are presented and discussed in separate sessions, with each discussion being initiated by an invited respondent.
